Privacy Policy

POMONDOR is a Pomodoro timer for iPhone and iPad. This page explains what data the app handles, why and where, and what you can do about it. The short version: without an account, nothing leaves your device; with an account, we keep only what is needed to sync your history and study with other people. There are no ads and no analytics, and we never sell or share your data with anyone.

Who is responsible

Without an account

The whole app works without an account. Your timers, sessions, folders, study plans and settings are stored only on your device and are not sent to any server. Phase-end and study-plan reminders are local notifications scheduled by the device itself.

With an account

When you create an account we store:

• Account data: your username, the display name you choose and, if you upload one, a profile photo. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the email and identifier that service gives us. If you sign up with a username and password, the account uses an internal address that is not a real email, unless you verify one yourself.
• Your password, never in plain text: only its encrypted hash, including those of previous passwords so a recent one can't be reused.
• Your history: folders, sessions (start and end, focused time, pomodoros, your rating and note) and the times you left the app during a session, with the reason if you type one. It is used to sync across your devices.
• If you also verify a real email, your timers, your study plans with their tasks and your general settings, so you have a complete backup.
• Security logs: the time of attempts to join rooms or folders with a code and of password changes, to stop brute-force attacks.

What other people see

• Study rooms: room members see your name, your photo, whether you are online and the pomodoros you have done in that room.
• Shared folders: members see on the wall the sessions you save in that folder (time, pomodoros, rating and note) and the questions and replies you write.

Your profile is only visible to people you share a room or a folder with.

Purchases

Payments are charged by Apple; we never see your payment details. To know what you have bought, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives Apple's purchase receipts and, if you have an account, your account identifier, so your purchases follow you to your other devices.

Purpose and legal basis

We use this data only to provide the service you ask for: syncing your history, rooms, shared folders and purchases (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and to protect accounts from abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)). We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or tracking you across other apps or websites.

Who processes it on our behalf

• Supabase: database, authentication and photo storage. Servers are in the European Union (Stockholm, Sweden).
• RevenueCat: purchase management. Based in the United States; transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Apple and Google, only if you choose to sign in with them, and Apple as the store that charges purchases.

How long

For as long as you keep your account. You can delete it at any time in the app, under Settings › Account › Delete my account: your profile, photo and all your history are deleted from the server, together with the rooms and shared folders you created. Purchase records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat according to their own legal obligations.

Your rights

You can request access to your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it, hand it over or stop processing it, by writing to privacidad@pomondor.com. In the app you can also edit your profile, export each folder to CSV and delete your account. If you think we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to your local authority.

Children

You must be at least 14 to create an account. Without an account, the app collects no personal data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will say so here with the new date, and in the app if the change is significant.
